El Greco Restaurant
Since 2001, in the heart of Fira, El Greco Restaurant has been a constant value of good food for local and foreign visitors of the island.
We are open throughout the whole year offering our guests a warm hospitality and authentic gastronomy experience, coming from traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.
El Greco Restaurant is housed in a traditional two floor building, which is recently completely renovated and is situated just a few meters from the central square of Fira.
The architecture of the building is in accordance to the traditional architecture of Santorini, with elements such as black Theraic stone and pergolas with bougainvillea, being in harmony with the island’s scenery
El Greco’s interior decoration emits a subtle luxury refinement. Wooden surfaces and leather table seats, as dominant elements, in combination to the earthy colors create a warm atmosphere that will relax your senses and complement your experience in our space.
At the entrance of El Greco Restaurant, the first thing that you see is our impressive food showcase, presenting all our traditionally cooked dishes, spits and gyros grills.
Open Kitchen
Through our open kitchen all our dishes are prepared in front of the eyes of our guest, offering as such a very hospitable feeling.
Our wooden-fired oven, consisting one of the main spots in our open kitchen, is so fascinating that you cannot resist, but to enjoy a culinary experience which is created out of our love for the traditional Italian cuisine, pizza and pasta.
In the middle of the hall you may see our bar. The bar is dividing the hall into two different levels. The ground floor hall can accommodate up to 100 people.
The upper space, decorated with Cycladic patterns, leads to a roof garden with a magnificent view of Fira.
This upper hall can be used independently of the rest of the restaurant and may host up to 80 people.


Home cooked food
Every day we cook for you traditional Greek dishes.
Our cook prepares a 15 dishes menu with special care and passion. The menu is changing daily so as to offer an exciting variety of dishes for our guests.
Plenty of our cooked dishes and appetizers are made by recipes which are coming from the local cuisine of Santorini Island, like fava beans, tomato balls and eggplants.
All the products and the ingredients that we use in our kitchen are always fresh and of high quality, coming from Santorini’s local market.

Fresh Fish Every Day
Depending on the season, every day we choose for you the most fresh fish and seafood from the local fishermen of our island. We offer you a rich variety of seafood such as octopuses, crabs, squids, mussels, shrimps and lobsters.
Grilling fish and seafood is a delicate process and we are passionate to offer you an exquisite taste. Special dishes are the lobster pasta, made by our own recipe which full of flavors and aromas, the grilled octopus with Santorini fava beans and the impressive seafood variety for 2 persons.
We suggest you to enjoy these dishes in combination to a good wine from our cellar. Our well trained service team may recommend you the most appropriate wine label for your dish.
























Our handmade desserts
We daily produce in our kitchen traditional baked sweets with fresh ingredients.
We suggest you to try our chocolate pie, orange pie and our delicious kantaifi.
Another special dessert option is that of fresh handmade Italian ice cream.
Our cellar
Our cellar is consisted by selected labels od White, Rosé and Red wines from Greek Vineyards and wineries of Santorini. You should definitely try the most famous wine varieties of the island like Nychteri, Assyrtiko and the traditional sweet wine Vinsando.
We have selected carefully all our labels so as to pair them harmoniously with all the dishes of our menu so as to elevate your dining experience.

Elton Nona is the current owner of El Greco. He is specialized in cooking and has also a vague knowledge of the services sector.
Having a 20 years’ experience in catering, he became the chef of El Greco in 2000.
Today he continues to share his creativity, love and passion for gastronomy and hospitality with the local and foreign visitors of the island, rendering EL Greco into a favorite hot spot which “speaks directly to your heart”!
